I am a 60 year old matron and Warren county business owner who went to Fridays with her husband for a nice dinner. I ordered a house Chardonnay and got a glass of something barely palatable.
Dinner was acceptable but mundane. When our bill came my 'house chardonnay' cost $13.50. I asked for the manager (Paul Phillips) who said I had ordered " a nice glass of wine." When I repudiated this statement he said "you drank it, didn't you?" He refused to reduce the bill. When I objected he told the waitress to call the police.
Warren county Virginia is in the country in Virginia. While I have paid over $10 for a glass of wine in cities I never expected to be charged that amount here for a glass of "house" wine nor will I ever forgive an establishment which condones this type of business practice!
